It’s a great stove to use.
So far after a few months of winter hikes it has performed perfectly with ease.
Steve’s video is spot on and explains everything correctly.
Well worth the investment folks.

Been wondering what kit to get for my bug out bag cooking system and this one looks very good.
Be nice to know how many boils you can get with the bigger gas cans as well?
A stash of 10 cans is still going to give 200 boils, so at 2 meals a day that 3 months cooking.
More suited for the lone prepper I think, but a definite 5 star investment I think.
Thanks for the review.

I would suggest looking for a pouch on a molle system or similar.
I don’t use one as mine fits just right into a side pocket on my rucksack, but I think a cover is a good idea.

I have just changed to a Jetboil from my old (very old0 Coleman kit.
So far I haven’t been disappointed. It does everything you say in your video and is now in my kit bag all the time.
I have slowly built up the full range of Jetboil gear and everything fit nicely.
It’s definitely a good camp stove and well work the investment.
Good review by the way….
thanks
James

Been looking at getting something like this for a while now.
Do you know if there’s a cover to put the whole stove in?
Maybe something that works with a Molle system.
And protects the whole lot.
Thanks.

I’ve had mine for a while now and take it with me on every hiking trip.
I easily get 20 boils from the small gas.
One point: keep the gas down low when using the frying pan. The heat will spread better that way AND you won’t scorch the middle of your pan.
Also. The Jetboil knife n fork are a bit flimsy. Use a spork.!
10/10 cooking stove for me though.

Went straight out and got myself one of these stoves.
Amazing fast boil as you said.
My wife – a full on coffee addict – also got the coffee press attachment for it and now she takes it in the car when we go long distances as it a lot cheaper than motorway coffee and she can have her favorite blend.
We pack it as you said and you can also fit a small bag of coffee grains in the pot as well.
A bit temperamental in windy conditions sometimes, so a wind shield is a good idea if your camping in exposed areas.
Piezo ignition has played up once or twice, but I have found it just needed a but of adjusting.
I havnt invested in any of the pots or pans yet – but I will no doubt at some time.

Cheers, The Greasy Spoon.
