Ebolanoia  By Stefan Mudry from Finca Bayano in Panama

protective ebola clothingAsking whether Ebola has originated in a laboratory does not make sense at all; there would be no answer. But the fact that a deliberate creation of such bioweapon cannot be ruled out, illustrates the crazy times that we are living in.

On the other hand, the current Ebola outbreak might be a fake.

Maybe the reason for this hides behind certain companies that want to see their shares spike, when introducing vaccines out of the blue. After that, the sickness might vanish like swine flu did before.

We have now been facing Ebola news for over half a year.

As long as distant Africa was concerned, only very few gave it serious attention. Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone are not exactly the most desirable holiday destinations. Honestly, who wants to go there? But if those places are so dangerous, we certainly have to wonder why flight connections to West Africa have not been cut off ‘in time’.

ebola spread mapThe mass media assumed that, as a result of such measures, the disease would be spread across international land borders.

That’s pure nonsense.

Had flights been cancelled, the majority of air travelers would have stayed at home without spreading any virus – at least not at international level.

Such people do not divert to bicycles or canoes, to cross land borders, if their plane cannot take off.

Others, who make their living close to the border, by smuggling or legal trade, would certainly have reduced their activities, in the presence of Ebola, rather than pushing them.

Thus, mass media statements, regarding the suspension of air traffic, are devoid of any logic.

In this context, it’s interesting to look at Ivory Coast which remains untouched by the ‘Ebolanoia’.

This country’s border is more than 1,500 miles long, half of which runs along so-called ‘Ebola areas’. People who have been in Africa – off the tourist trails – know that there are no fortifications along the borders, apart from the crossings.

Fences, walls or watchtowers simply do not exist, however, without such facilities there’s no way to control those areas. But it must be pointed out that border regions make trading particularly attractive, since price differences on both sides are worthwhile.

Commuters do not have passports and they do not necessarily use official crossings. They cross anywhere, and they would cross with Ebola, as a part of their baggage, if the disease really would be as widespread and dangerous as reported.

In other words: Ebola would long have crossed the Ivory Coast border, a line that only exists on maps. Hence, there must be a reason why this country has been spared from this sickness so far, since we have to assume that ‘big things’ do not happen by chance.

At the same time, the frontier between the United States and Mexico, which until recently would have sustained comparison with the Berlin Wall, has become a Swiss Cheese, ISIS takes over the Middle East with a couple of pickup-trucks and Putin is planning to deep freeze Central Europe in the coming winter. Obviously, it was easier to fool us before the internet existed.

Back then, even planes could have vanished without too many of us questioning the circumstances.

So, why would an Ebola outbreak be staged at this point in time?

Is it because of the systemic crisis?

A possible conclusion is that a pandemic could solve several of the governments’ major problems at the same time. Hardly anyone would take part in a demonstration, in order to avoid an infection; gatherings possibly wouldn’t even have to be prohibited.

Furthermore, emergency legislation could be enacted with less resistance, a measure the majority of the population would probably welcome in the face of insecurity. This way, it would be easier for the ruling class to control the masses in times when civil disobedience could be expected.

Ultimately, the citizens’ attention would be distracted from other issues. The assumption that an Ebola outbreak might be a fake, however, is anything but an all clear signal.

ebola disease virus image of virus under microscopeAfter all, the worst may still be ahead:

A forced general vaccination, an injection that might include substances beyond our control.

It would be a good thing, in this case, to have a doctor at hand who is willing to confirm a vaccination that has never been administered.

The talk of the intended reduction of the world’s population is getting louder. Ignoring it would be naive.

There is a source that has published a CNN video about the Ebola crisis in Liberia.

ebola cnn

Interestingly, at minute 0:30, a supposedly very sick man drops himself out of a bus.

He shouldn’t have that kind of energy any more, would he be as ill as pretended.

Besides, when he drops himself out, he still makes sure that he wouldn’t hit the ground too hard, since he doesn’t want to hurt himself.

The fact that he is not wearing pants is not mentioned, though the sense of shame of modern Africans is way more distant than that of Westerners.

Even more ridiculous is the appearance of a little boy that joins the scene from minute 1:01.

He throws himself down as if he had been instructed to do so; and most probably he was. In fact, both man and boy, do not look like being infected with Ebola.

Here there are photos of people who obviously suffer from the disease.

It has been reported that CNN had to remove the video from their website because viewers considered it to be a fabrication.

Of course, I cannot guarantee that this video is genuine.

Ebola, ISIS, no gas for Central Europe in the coming winter, and a number of other things being quickly pulled out of the hat, might soon intensify the magnitude of the current crisis.

Emergency legislation may be passed over night, mobilization could be decreed over the weekend and declarations of war might be the result.

Along with all this confusion, we might see a forced Ebola vaccination.

Whether this approach is too pessimistic is left to the readers.

At Finca Bayano, those things don’t bother us too much.

Although the world’s problems are becoming tangible through the internet, the rather big geographical distance to the trouble spots provides a certain comfort.

A forced vaccination, in particular, may certainly be avoided way easier in Panama than in other parts of the Western World.

finca bayano

Some People prepare their Bug Out Locations close to their home or they try to make their house a fortress.

Others prefer places where hardly anyone is living: In the desert, in the mountains, or in the forest.

Most of the places that preppers are calling a Bug Out Location, however, do not provide unlimited shelter and at the same time unlimited food.

I have found somewhere quite different.

This bug out location is part of a huge farm, Finca Bayano in Panama, in a very sparsely populated area, you wont need to eat canned food, full of chemicals, that stays fresh until 2030.

Instead there are fresh papayas and fresh bananas. Even if others would steal all the food, you would still be able to survive, because fresh food is growing every day.

finca bayano 3 finca bayano 2 finca bayano 5 finca bayano 4 bug out to finca bayano

They don’t dig shelters that have no sunlight, and won’t built fortresses, that can be beleaguered.

Instead they keep good relations with our Panamanian neighbors. By assisting the villagers in a water project and some are working at Finca Bayano.

This is how they are preparing for an uncertain future.

No one can anticipate the day when major supply disruptions will occur, how long disorder might take, and of what degree the breakdown could be.

Some people believe, that after three months it’s back to normal, but it may take three years, or even more. The collapse, as we are expecting it, might not be over when food and water run out, or when there is no more wood for a fire.

It might take much longer, and maybe life won’t be the same it was before. What most people do not know, is that their land cannot produce enough food to survive without pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

Back to normal might not be impossible – but this place is different….

So why not prepare in a place which can provide food for everyone that lives there?

Take a look at their website and what they offer – it’s worth considering……

My Best Survival Knifeultimate fine edge knife by gerber

 Guest Post by, MonkeyPrepper

What is all the fuss about choosing the best survival knife.? There is just so much information on line nowadays that surely it must be easy to decide what is best for you.?

Now obviously, as a prepper, I have several survival knives – that goes without saying.! Along with pocket knives and a multi tool knife I like to have all the bases covered – but my survival knife is a bit different due to the amount of work I do with it – its not just for show.!!

I’ve had several knives of varying types over the years and slowly they have been left behind in my shed as I found they were just not suited for my needs and eventually they were relegated to gather dust in my shed and were slowly and surely upgraded to a better performing survival knife.

Yes, I still like to use my ‘old faithfuls’ – I have one knife that has been with me since 1978..!! –

This is my number one favourite

– it’s a Diawa full tang 130mm smooth blade with a false edge top and some thumb traction grooves. It just feels good in your hand and fit perfectly for all my uses. The handle finger groove has a solid front guard with gives me extra leverage when I need it. I especially like the the deep ‘choil’ at the base of the blade – this is great when choking down on the knife for fine work

And is tough – maybe because it’s an old knife [over 35 years old] – but the blade thickness is 4.5mm – and that’s a thick solid blade that’s hard to bend or break.

I always take this knife with me whenever I go on any survival training or camping, fishing etc….

This is my newest edition to my survival knives.

This is my latest addition to my collection – and I must say, will probably stay with me for a very long time, and It’s The Gerber Ultimate Fine Edge - [ see our review here ] – there’s a lot of hype about the whole Bear Grylls thing but the key point is it is made from one of the best knife manufactures, Gerber and it really performs well in every aspect as a full on survival knife – I really like it – cost me about £55, so not hugely expensive, but considering what you get for your money, I think it’s good value.

I actually think this knife has got everything you need and I like using it a lot. At the moment it’s my most used knife and performs just how I like it.

So that’s it really. My favorite and my best.

Happy prepping everyone – Monkey Prepper.

Guest Article:   My Prepping Plan, by Fango keep-calm-and-make-a-plan-2

As with most preppers here in the UK, I struggle to build up my supplies and prepping equipment. With the recession only just starting to fade it’s been a very difficult few years to even survive the day to day running of my home and family, let alone splash out on prepping supplies.

Never the less I have made progress. Slow, but progress after all.

That’s what prepping is all about. Having a plan and trying your best to stick to it as you beaver away with your normal life. There’s got to be a balance – both a lifestyle balance and a financial one in order to keep your sanity .!!

I started my prepping plan a couple of years ago and have generally kept on track ever since. This is what I did -

My Prepping Plan

  • Researched the more likely disaster scenarios that may occur
  • Sat down and prioritized the important things – my needs and wants
  • Prioritized my families needs and wants
  • Put a cost to the items we considered we needed in order or priority
  • Worked out how to spread that cost evenly giving higher amounts to higher priority items

I also based, pretty much everything, on the fact that I would be bugging in and not leaving my home unless a situation was life threatening.

Important factors

for sale signOne of the reasons I have been quite successful in keeping to my plan is that I am always on the lookout for bargains, sales, special offers and anything that can get the cost down or possibly offer me more for my money – this is the one good thing thing that has come out of this recession – that fact that many items have got cheaper and the big stores have had to reduce prices to lure customers in.

There are also many other people selling their unwanted goods to make a bit extra money. All this has been and still is, very good tactics for us preppers.

Prepping Plan Essentials

  1. My home is the #1 priority to prepare – I have worked on making it quite secure enough to defend if necessary. My storage is secure and out of sight and I have provisions to survive in harsh conditions without electricity.
  2. Water & Food storage are my next high priority items – building up a nice backup supply of essential foods
  3. Medication & Hygiene – I have a fully equipped first aid kit as well as enough essential medication for those family members that need it, for about 6 months.
  4. Backup cooking facilities – I just keep to the basics – an area in my back garden where I have an open fire and a make shift brick built oven.
  5. Self defense – I have an amount of legal weapons that are used for hunting and self defense if needed.
  6. Bugging Out – Although I fully intend to hunker down, I still have a fully equipped bug out bag ready to go in an extreme emergency situation.

So that’s my prepping plan in a nutshell. Straightforward and simple as I can make it – I know it can be improved on, but any prepper will tell you how much time and effort and money it takes to be fully prepared.

Guest article by: The Prickley Prepper GUEST POST 1

Thought I would add my two peneth and write this article for all those people out there that insist on saying I’m mad and wasting my time being a prepper.

I don’t go around telling everyone you must be prepared. You must stock up with loads of gear and be ready for anything. In fact I hardly tell anyone that I’m a prepper. I quietly get on with it.

Prepping is about looking after yourself and your family, as  simple as that really. We’re not splitting the atom, it’s not complicated, we are just looking after ourselves and family.
I have enough gear to keep us off grid and hunkered down for about 2-3 month. It has taken me a long while to do this. Financially it’s not something most people can do in one hit.
The few people who do know about my prepping say it’s a waste of time yet when we had the fuel problems a while back they were the first to queue up for hours to get a tank of petrol and the one’s who raided the supermarket to stock up – Just In Case..!!!!

I could of rubbed it in an said ‘what if it had lasted for more than a week or a month and so on, but I didn’t. They managed ok – for the few days it went on, but moaned and had to think a bit more about travel and using what was in the fridge a bit more sensibly.

Meanwhile I carried on as if nothing had happened – while the hoards of people emptied my local Asda.

In fact I deliberately went down to my local superstore, which happens to be Asda, just  to see what the effect of a simple fuel dispute could do – No bread, No milk, No fresh vegetables, No ready meals, Frozen foods empty and of course no fuel……

so to all those non preppers out there who still think I’m mad – think again.

I’m prepping for life.

Thanks for listening… The Prickley Prepper
