So but the Opinel are considered locking knives, except the very small keyring one with no slip ring lock.

A couple legal carry anywhere. I am a camper. Camp anywhere I can put a tent and always carry a Japanese fixed blade powedered steel hand made knives with blade lengths from 4 inch to 5.5 inches. I consider camping a good reason to have a knife, and considering my knives are £500 plus certainly not the type to use them unwisely.

How utterly absurd that it even got further than the police just verifying your story, let alone going as far as court. What a waste of time and money. Now wonder the British “justice” system is so clogged up.

I even bought the same knife again to show it is sold as a utility Tool not and not labled as a knife, also the packaging made no reference to it having a locking mechanism. The Judge directed the Jury the find me not guilty and said that they have to ask themselves what would be more acceptable, being in public with a Machete or a small knife.

What do you not believe? All the information provided can be confirmed on the .gov website. You do not have to believe anyone as you can check the law for yourself. no?

The rest are in my bug out bag and are either fixed blade or lock knives.

The reason I ask is a 62 year old gentleman in Scotland was arrested for wearing one on his wrist.

………

Thanks he is in court next week.

Private events can set whatever rules they like. That is nothing to do with the law.

I have carried a small red camping knife around with me for 45 years, its got several attachments because its a camping knife. The two blades are less than 3 inches. We went to MONSTER TRUCKS in the Midlands on Sunday, they were doing a pat down for all people entering the building, THEY SAID I COULDN’T TAKE THIS PENKNIFE IN WITH ME. I’m 74 years old and I was pissed. Our son had to take it back to the car. The knives that you show look dangerous and qiute franly I don’t believe you.

YL West midland area.

All sober drivers should have their cars taken away to prevent car deaths.
