What are prepping for

Hello everyone, Although I do try to keep my prepping quiet, there are still a few people who know I prep and ask me why.?
Some show an interest afterwards and others just think I’m mad!
These are my reasons:

Loss of income – no work, loss of job etc
The weather – too hot too cold. worse case it could effect my heating, lighting and food
Collapse of the financial system as we know it –
Fuel strikes and shortages
Civil unrest and rioting
War – nuclear or other
Epidemic and Pandemic outbreak
TEOTWAWKI
