The Top Six
Prepping Tips You Must Know
When anyone begins to think about starting prepping, they are confronted with masses of good information AND miss-information in equally confusing doses...!
This article will help you and stop you wasting your time and money on unnecessary 'stuff' right from the start.
What are the top six prepping tips you must know.?
I think all preps are important. Well all the essential ones anyway.
But when it comes to wasting your money, there's hundreds of ways to do that in the prepping world.
So here is a list of things you must consider before even spending a penny:
Live Life More Frugally.
Start to cut out all the unnecessary luxury expenses. Live below your means and take a more frugal approach to material items.
You need to start cutting your outgoings to the bone.
Find ways to lower your bills. This could be as easy as turning lights off or spending less time in a hot shower.
The aim is to get you expenses down to allow for more available money to spend on your preps, and not to go wasting it on stuff you really don't want.

Store & Filter Water.
Water is life and the number 1 essential item to store for a disaster.
As well as storing water you must have a means to filter dirty water.
If the taps stop working you can call on your stored water, and when that runs out you'll be looking to filter from any clean-ish water source you can find.

Don't By Food You Don't Like.
This may sound pretty obvious. But you'll be amazed at the amount of advice out there that tells people to stock up with this bean and that bean, and you must have this can and that can and so on..
When the SHTF the last thing you want to be doing is taste testing to find out if you actually like something you have stored away!
Have A Survival Cache
A survival cache is your backup plan for your backup plan.
Never keep all your stores in one place, they are far too vulnerable that way.
Apart from using different areas of your home, consider storing outside or even buried below ground.
On route to your bugout location or even in you vehicle.

Medication
Having a good supply of medication can be as important as water storage if you really depend on it.
It's a hard fact to take, but in a disaster situation, if you are someone who cannot live without medication then your days may well be numbered anyway.
For general medication, such as antiseptic, antibiotics etc. build up a good supply of these essential items

Hygiene
Bad personal hygiene will lead to disease.
Regardless of how 'un-glamorous' hygiene and sanitation are, they come high up on the essentials list.
Preps such as toilet paper, bleach, soap and ladies personal needs need to be stored as much as food and water.
Bad hygiene will result in illness and possibly worse.
Keep Quiet
Nobody needs to know that your prepping..!
Simple as that - don't go around telling everyone how much food and water you have stored up, or how sure you are about surviving a disaster.
Just keep quiet about it all - most people are not interested anyway.
And if you do tell them, that information will be logged away, and who knows, one day they will be breaking your door down insisting you feed them
