For any prepper looking for a Tanto blade style survival knife the Gerber Warrant Tanto Fixed Blade Knife
is a survival knife well certainly worth considering, if not as your main knife, but definately as your spare.
It looks and feels like a solid knife and is certainly well made – something you would expect from Gerber – It’s nicely proportioned and has a confortable balanced feel to it.
In essence, the knife itself is an all round nice bit of kit, especially for those preppers that prefer the serrated edge knife over a smooth bladed knife – the serrations are ‘chisel type’ – this means serrated on one side only with the other side flat.
Possibly the one main concern I have is the handle is aluminium with a bit of machining for added grip – not to my liking when using with wet hands.
The sheath is nylon with a the right features to make it fully wearable on the belt or leg as well as being Molle compatible – nice…
All in all a good nice that will do the job at a sensible price.
