Lighting EVER CREE LED Torches, Super Bright, Adjustable Focus Review
This is a quick review on the Lighting Ever Cree LED Torch –
I have decided to review this torch due to its amazing popularity with preppers. You only have to Checkout the 5 star reviews over on Amazon to see what I mean,
It is not a full on tactical torch with all the added features, however, as a everyday carry and support torch it really does tick all the boxes, and keeps up with many LED Torches that sell for a lot more money.
It appears to be designed as a sturdy, light weight (95 grms), palm torch for everyday use.
This LED torch offers amazing value for money – in fact I don’t think you can buy better for the price.
The torch itself is very compact considering what you you get – at 109mm long it take 3 AAA batteries within the body section. It’s nice and chunky as well with a 34mm diameter body and fits snugly into your hand as you can see here.
I have found the battery life to reasonable when I had ‘normal’ bateries fitted – they were the Duracell Plus Power AAA Batteries – and with everyday usage for about 20 minutes whilst locking up a site, the torch never lost brightness and lasted for 4 weeks.
I have since changed to the Duracell Rechargeable Accu HR03 750 mAh AAA Batteries – 4-Pack and these perform much better – not only that, the saving is greater – so well worth changing right from the start.
I actually always carry a spare set of fully charged batteries in my EDC pack anyway.

My testing and findings:
Firstly, this is a very good mid sized LED Torch – In fact it is now a permanent addition to my gear along with my Klarus ST11 Tactical ( see review here ) – to date, I have had no problems with it, in fact, performance is as good as ever.
The ease of use is very good with the main on/off button at the very end of the torch, making one handed operation easy – which is something I like, especially when the torch is around my wrist on the lanyard. You can simply flick the torch up in to your hand its ready for operation with your thumb.
It’s a straightforward on/off, one click operation.
I found the claim of beam length of 150mtrs a bit high – in fact it is more like 100 mtrs for a usable amount of light, although it will reach the 150 mtr mark, that really only applies to high reflective surfaces – but for this type of torch, 100mtrs is more than acceptable.

You can adjust the beam focus very easily, again with one hand, which then gives a very nice and smooth transition from beam to spot, by using the front bezel and sliding it forward or back to suit the beam focus you require.
This feature is ideal and it works very well for me over an average distance of 10 mtrs where I are able to spot focus on an object or light the room up.
Conclusions:
There are very few LED torches of this quality for the price of under £10 (currently £9.99 +postage on Amazon), so that make this the bargain of the year if you ask me..
So, I only really have one conclusion about the Lighting EVER CREE LED Torch, and that’s, buy one now before Cree come to their senses and put the price up..!!!
