Bug Out Bag | For Sale Guide

Bug Out Bag | For Sale Guide

When your considering buying a bug out bag there is no 'one size fits all' formula.
It must always be equipped, accessible, as lightweight as possible and tailored to suit your individual needs.

Layout all your bugging out equipment on the floor and work from there - the type of bag you will need is dictated by your survival gear.

I have noticed that more and more manufacturers are giving there bags 'trendy', macho names in an attempt to make them seem hard core.
They especially like to use the term 'tactical' as if it makes a difference...?

To be perfectly honest just about anything would do in an emergency. You could pack your gear in a Tesco bag and your achieving pretty much the same effect.!

So don't get yourself all hung up on the fancy names like 'tactical or combat pack' or 'assault pack' and so on.
It's a rucksack you carry on your back - simple as that.
So long as it's a good size and has plenty of pockets and room for your gear then don't worry about having the 'right' bug out bag.

It is also worth considering a bag that has 'add on' storage pockets as this will give you more flexibility and easy access to certain gear first.

Although most bags over the 50 litre mark will have two main compartments.

Of course the bigger the bag the more inclined to fill it up, and that means weight that you have to carry.

This 65 litre bag, when full packed is going to weigh around the 40 - 60 lbs and a fully packed 30 litre pack around 20 - 40 lbs.
So the addition of adding pockets can be useful and worth considering.
